Learning about the BC Curriculum and how the website is navigated makes it easy to access and understand what curriculum to teach students for each grade. I appreciate the implementations of Indigenous and cultural aspects are weaved into each subject and that most have examples of activities or topics for each.
Ex: Grade 3 (Science) CC4: Identify First Peoples perspectives and knowledge as sources of information. C2: the knowledge of local First Peoples of ecosystems (information shared from the local First Peoples community and Elders).
This encourages teachers to seek out and connect with local people and parents and creates community.
