The Professional Standards for BC Educators website states how important our jobs are for our students. We must value our support from communities and student families. I also believe, as mentioned throughout my e-portfolio, how crucial it is to incorporate and invite our elders and knowledge keepers into our classrooms whenever we can. They hold valuable information and teachings. I also think it is important that we, as educators, also get involved in community. This can be done through participating in staff events, being apart of a sports team, or being involved with our Secwepemc nation through culture and language.
